August/2014 is the month that marks the 23rd anniversary of the email that announced what would later become Linux to the world. Nine years later, another email makes history containing only this paragraph, which is up to this date one of the most well known quotes among Linux enthusiasts.
The computer scientist chosen for July's quote is Brian Kernighan, who was involved in the creation of some of the most used pieces of software until today: the Unix operating system and the C programming language.
