"Random numbers should not be generated with a method chosen at random"
- Donald Knuth (1938 ~ )
This quote, from the volume II of The Art of Computer Programming, was written by Donald Knuth, who is considered the father of the analysis of algorithms. He was the recipient of the first Grace Murray Hopper Award in 1971 and received many others after that. Even though his study subject is computer programming, his interest in human words is evident: not only he is a prolific writer, but he also invented the TeX typesetting system and he's the co-author of the Knuth–Morris–Pratt string searching algorithm.
